Agriculture de Précision

There’s more going on in France these days than winning soccer’s World Cup. French farmers are some of the most productive in the world, ranking in the top 10 in producing: grapes (2nd), sugar beets (2nd), wheat (5th), corn (9th), and potatoes (10th). With these valuable commodities and a European emphasis on sustainability, growers are eagerly adopting precision ag — especially Veris mapping.

The credit goes to Precifield, an innovative young company led by Remi Pelletier and Alexandre Weil.

With strong agronomic and business backgrounds, Remi and and Alex quickly recognized the powerful opportunity Veris maps present —
to their company and to their customers. Today, a fleet of Veris U3 and iScans are traversing picturesque French fields, mapping soil with unmatched precision and accuracy.

Below: Eric Lund (Veris Founder), Alexandre Weil and Stephen de Meyer with Agrometius (European Distributor) investigate soil variability identified by the U Series.
